John H. Bowser

John H. Bowser, age 68 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1943 the son of Ralph and Velma (Crawford) Bowser. On August 28, 1965 he married Kathleen Morton. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Miami University as the Print Center Manager in 2005.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bowser; daughters, Michele (Lee) Boling and Lynn (Glenn) Strafford; grandchildren, Cara, Kyle, Kayla, James, Eathon, Audrie, and Anna; brother and sister in law, Richard and Kaye Kennedy; and niece, Kelly (Tim) Coyle. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit of Jewish Hospital, the Oncology/Hematology Care Unit and the Vitas Hospice of Cincinnati staff for their care and support through John’s treatment.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton. Funeral service will be 10am Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Augsburg Lutheran Church, 11676 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 with Pastor Grace Werzinski officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in John’s name to the Augsburg Lutheran Church.
