John W. Carter Jr., age 58 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Friday, December 24, 2021. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 31, 1963 the son of John W. Sr. and Mary Ann (Back) Carter. John was the senior pastor at God’s Temple for over twenty years.
John is survived by his two children, Abigail Carter and John Carter; three sisters, Valerie (James) Trissell-McCann, Shirley Parker, and Blanche (Phil) Gronemeyer; former spouse, Sherri Carter; and other family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at God's Temple Church, 3600 Millikin Road, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Johnny Wade Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.
