John C. Collins

John C. Collins, age 64 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:05 PM. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on August 14, 1947 the son of Clifford and Bernice (Stine) Collins. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and was employed as a machinist at Cincinnati, Incorporated for 28 years, retiring in 2007. On February 11, 1978 in Harrison, he married Wanda Hopkins.

He is survived by a daughter, Crystal (Doug) Rack of Hamilton, as well as many other daughters by choice; a brother, Cliff (Pam) Collins of Alexandria, Alabama; a sister, Chris (Al) Fitzsimmons of Meadville, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Chloe and Derrick Rack. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shelly Ackerman.

A memorial service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 2PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1PM-2PM.
