John "Jack" Conrad

John "Jack" Conrad, age 52 of Fairfield, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 6:05 PM. He was born in Hamilton on September 28, 1962 the son of Donald and Mary (Burwinkel) Conrad. Jack retired as the general manager at Greenwood Cemetery in 2005 after more than twenty years of service.

He is survived by his two children, Lorin (Steven) Light and Travis (Mariah) Conrad, both of Decatur, Indiana: his mother, Mary Conrad of Hamilton; five siblings, James (Julie) Conrad, Joseph (Becky) Conrad, Cheryl (Dan) Barth, Carol (Rick) Ortwein, and Jerry Conrad; four grandchildren, Brayden and Damon Light, and Elijah and Hallie Conrad; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his nephew, Kyle Barth.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Father Larry Tharp of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kyle Barth Scholarship Fund, c/o Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
