John L. Gross

John L. Gross, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at Bethesda Butler Hospital on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12:35p.m. John was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 2, 1939 to Louis Gross and Nadine (Henderman) Gross. On September 25, 1971 in Campbell County, KY, he married Betty Bachelor. He retired from General Electric after over 40 years of service. John was a lifelong airplane enthusiast; from his professional mechanical engineering career to his love of building model airplanes, aeronautics was an abiding passion of his.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Gross; his children, Stephen (Tresa Trede-Gross) Gross and Michael (Beth) Gross; two grandchildren, Grady and Emma; one brother, Pete (Donna) Gross; and one sister in law, Lois Anita Stewart. John was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Mike Gross.

Prayer service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
