John B. Marischen Jr.

John B. Marischen Jr., 64, of Fairfield, passed away at Mercy Fairfield on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1:49 AM. He was born in Mayfield, Kentucky , on July 6, 1948 the son of John Sr. and Helen (Vennefron) Marischen. He was employed as a Fork Lift Operator with Valeo for 16 years. On May 14, 1977, in Fairfield, John married Cheryl Bryant. John was a member of Single Action Shooting Soceity (SASS), Big Irons Rangers, National Rifle Association (NRA), and the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association (NMLRA). John loved being a gun fighter at the Old West Fest in Williamsburg, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Marischen, son Kyle Marischen, and daughter Melissa Marischen, all of Fairfield; sister Mary Carol (Joe) Eyl of Hamilton, and nephew H. Joseph Eyl of Hamilton. He was preceeded in death by his parents John Sr. and Helen Marischen.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, on Thursday July 26, 2012, at 10 AM, with Deacon Hoang Vu officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday July 25 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery. In John’s name, please make donations payable to the American Heart Association.
