John P. Mcdaniel

John P. McDaniel, age 68 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 surrounded by his family. John was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 20, 1949 to Clyde and Rachel (Johnson) McDaniel. He was an avid sports fan, with his favorite team being Ohio State. John enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed all of the family celebrations. On December 8, 1972, he married Donna Hard and together they enjoyed 45 years of marriage and four children. John retired from Wright-Bernet after 30 years of service.

John is survived by his children, Michele (the late, Patrick) Stoy, Angela (Mike) Ingram, Wade (Amy) Dingman, and Erin (Bill Bowling) McDaniel; his grandchildren, Will Stoy, Megan (Matt) Zinser, Lindsey Ingram, Cole Dingman, Mackenzie Polster, Tyler Dingman, Ben Polster, McKenzie Bowling, and Billy Bowling; brother-in-laws, Tom Roberts, Chester (Pam) Hard; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his siblings, Carol Roberts and Mike McDaniel; sister-in-laws, Jane Ann Bourgeois and Rosemary (Geno) Carusone; grandchildren, Kaley and Shane Dingman; Mother and Father- in-law, Chester and Rose Hard, and his parents.

The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of Batavia Nursing Care Center who provided excellent and compassionate care for John during his final year of life.

John will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, 1602 Greenwood Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 3:30 PM. Per John’s wishes, a Celebration of Life is being planned by the family and will be held at a later date.
