John Timothy Schmidt

John Timothy Schmidt, 56 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. John was born in Memphis, TN to the late Carl & Carolyn Schmidt. He was a longtime member of Greenbrook Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. John was a life-long, dedicated fan of the Raiders, often saying, “I was born a Raiders Fan!” He shared this passion with his dad, going so far as to get a tattoo that read, “RAIDERS NATION” in his honor after his passing in 2015. John was an all-around good guy that will be dearly missed, especially by his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Ashley Mikula-Schmidt; his boys Dallas Schmidt and Caleb Mikula of Hamilton; his sister, Carol (Gary) Stacks of Byhalia, MS; his niece, Tiffany (Steve) Dabney, great-nephew, Christopher and great-great niece, Eva; great-nephew, Elijah; and great-niece, Bryleigh of Missouri; his niece, Charquetta (Shane) Selph, two nephews and one niece and five great-great nieces of Bartlett, TN; his niece, April Stacks, a great nephew and great niece of Waterford, MS; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Gary Stacks, Jr.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date by the family.
