John R. Taylor

John R. Taylor, age 71 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 12:04 PM. He was born in Marion County, Kentucky on June 30, 1945 the son of Ira and Mattie (Doll) Taylor. On February 27, 1965 in Jefferson County, Kentucky he married Sandra Bolick and she preceded him in death in 2014. John was the best Papaw ever and he will be dearly missed and loved by all.

He is survived by three children; Karen (Cris) Demoret, Carolyn (Denna) Taylor, and Randy (Julie) Taylor; five siblings, Arlene Mikesell, Ira (Rita) Taylor Jr., Jerome (Linda) Taylor, Jessie (Sonny) Alvey, and Helen Thomas; six grandchildren, Jamie Payne, Brad Fisher, John Taylor Jr., Robert Taylor, Chris Turner, and Olivia Demoret; five greatgrandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Billy and Leo Taylor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 451 Ridgelawn Ave., on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
