John A. Trent

John A. Trent, 68 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on March 15, 2019. John was born in 1950 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He moved to Hamilton when he was 5 years old, although he made regular visits throughout the rest of his life and a part of his heart always remained in Tennessee. He graduated from Taft High School in 1969 and Miami University in 1994. He married Teri (Keller) Trent in 1984 and in 1987 became the father to twin daughters Rachel and Joan. A lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Hamilton, John was a hard working man who contributed to many professions across a variety of skill sets. These include the Butler County Juvenile Detention System, Hamilton City School District, Twin Run Golf Course, and Days Sunoco. No matter where he was working friends and coworkers alike knew him to be generous, compassionate, caring, humble, and a great source of fun and laughter.

John was preceded in death by parents Charles (C.J.) Trent and Kathryn Owana Trent; and sister, Kathi Brandhoff. Survived by wife Teri (Keller) Trent; children Rachel (Kyle) Johnson and Joan Trent; grandchildren Lydia Trent, Chloe Trent, and Clayton Johnson; and nieces Jamie Mosebach and Kori Brandhoff and their families.

John's family was given 12 more quality years thanks to a kidney transplant he received in 2005. It would mean the world to his family if you could make sure you are registered as an organ donor in his memory. Even in death John's generosity continues through his desire for his remains to be used in medical research.

Visitation will be held Saturday March 23, 2019 at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Avenue from 1:00-2:30 with a brief memorial service to celebrate his life immediately following at 2:30.
