John Charles Vail, age 77 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 9:55 PM. He was born in Hamilton on July 9, 1930 the son of Homer and Mary (Antal) Vail. John was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. He was employed in production at Pepsi Cola and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. On July 18, 1954 in Buffalo, New York, he married Florence Motyka.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Vail of Hamilton; a son, Donald Vail of Hamilton; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington Street, on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Stephen Mondiek, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
