John "Johnny" Hill

John “Johnny” Hill, age 81 of Fairfield, passed away at Mercy Hospital-Fairfield on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Known to most as Johnny, he was born in Mount Hope, West Virginia on July 27, 1941 to the late Eddie and Willa Anna (Trotter) Hill. After graduating high school, Johnny enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After his time in the service, Johnny came to join his family that had relocated to Hamilton. On February 14, 1970, Johnny married the love of his life, Connie. Together, they raised a family in Hamilton. In 1977, he went to work for AK Steel in Middletown, where he was a millwright for 29 years. Johnny had a life-long love for softball and was inducted into the Butler County Softball Hall of Fame in 2012. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with friends and fishing buddies. He was an active member at Princeton Pike Church of God and was a member of the choir and praise team. Above all, Johnny loved the Lord and his family.

Johnny will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Connie Hill; his children, Carl Hill and Amber (Brandon) Harwell; his grandchildren, C.J. (Mary) Hill, Mason Hill, Kai Hill, Audrey Harwell, and Scarlett Harwell; his great-granddaughter, Evee; his siblings, Tony Hill, Marion Hill, and Emma Hill, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends that are too numerous to mention by name.

Johnny is reunited in Heaven with his parents and his siblings, Mary "Mae" Gipson, Eddie Hill Jr., William Hill, Willa Stokes, Ruby Coleman, Major Hill, Catherine Ramsey, Raymond Hill, and Loretta Stuckey.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 3:00 PM until the time of Funeral Service at 5:00 PM at the Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Rd., Hamilton, Ohio.
