Johnny Leece

Johnny Leece, age 77 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2018. He was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on September 16, 1940 the son of John and Vina (Hopkins) Leece. Johnny was a veteran of Vietnam with the United States Army from 1961 to 1968. He was employed as a emboss operator at International Paper for twenty years, retiring in 1998. On October 15, 1990 in Hamilton he married Linda Lenhoff.

He is survived by wife, Linda Leece; seven children, Sandy (Mike) Spenny, Sherry (Kenny) McIntosh, Shelly (Larry) Talbott, John David (Amanda) Leece, Lisa (Elmer) Little, Brian Carter, and Jennifer (Brandon Jones) Weber; two brothers, Vernon (Nanny) Leece and Harley "Bud" (Jerri) Conrad; sister-in-law, Janet Conrad; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and step mother, John and Georgia Leece; his mother and step father, Vina and Ted Harmon; two siblings, Dennis Conrad and Norma Kelly; and a great grandson, Jordan Estes.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
