Johnny Mills

Johnny Mills, age 71 of Camden, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025. Johnny was born in Barboursville, Kentucky on May 16, 1954 to James Mills and Edna (Hubbard) Mills. He retired from Tube City IMS out of Local 18 Operating Engineer Union Hall as a crane operator after more than 30 years. Johnny was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener who collected Cadillacs and loved his truck. He was a member of the Middletown Moose Lodge 501. Johnny was a proud daddy of 4 girls, and an amazing son, brother, husband, papaw, uncle and friend.

Johnny is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Erik) Tatman, Chasstidy (Greg) Tendam, Jennifer (Brandon) Thompson and Kristin (Josh Adams) Mills; grandchildren, Jessica (Myron) Hale, Erik John, Haley Suttles, Ashlen Suttles, Nick Tendam, Jason Tendam, Ruby June Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Izabella Finamore and Wrenley Adams; great-grandchildren, Remmie, Blaine, Zoe, Millie, Maddie, Ella, Waylon and Nova; sisters, Maxene (Lee) Holland, Edna (Calvin) Williams, Judy (Kathy) Mills and Bessie Shoemaker; sister-in-law, Lorraine Mills; mother-in-law, Joyce Roark; brother-in-law, Brian Roark; special friends, Skeeter and Tom Bell; and numerous other relatives and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edna Mills; his wife, Karla Mills; sister, Evelyn Beare; brothers, Willie Mills and Jake Mills; father-in-law, Carl Roark; and sister-in-law, Vivian Mills.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will be held the following day on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Stephen Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
