Joni L. Schubert, age 70 of Fairfield, OH, passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Joni was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 15, 1953, to Jim Lyons and Dorothy (Wolf) Lyons. She was a graduate of Badin High School, and then started her career as a teacher with HeadStart for over 30 years. On June 24, 2000, in Hamilton, she married Robert “Bob” Schubert. Joni is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Schubert; her daughter, Mindy (Michael) Jones; her siblings, Kathy Boggs, Connie (Ted) Finan, Michelle (Greg) Zeis, and Jim Feild; several nieces and nephews; several step children, and step grandchildren; her best friend, Rita Winkler, and many other family and friends. Joni was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Dorothy Lyons; and one sister, Valerie Bohlen. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM with Bruce Kievet of United Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Association or St. Vincent Depaul.
