Jonie Joshua Campbell

Jonie Joshua Campbell, age 76 of Cincinnati passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 8:10 PM. He was born in Bell County, Kentucky on May 15, 1933 the son of Morgan and Mary (Wilson) Campbell. Jonie was employed as a carpet installer at McSwain Carpet Company. He was a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge #671 in Norwood and New Haven Baptist Church. On May 7, 1960 in Greenville, Indiana he married Wanda Reedy.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Campbell of Cincinnati; two sons, Steven (Kathy) Campbell and Darrell Dwayne (DeAnna) Campbell, both of Cincinnati; two daughters, Tina (Marvin) Hamblin of Fairfield and Kristen Campbell of Hamilton; a brother, John Campbell of Cincinnati; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim and Grant Campbell; and two sisters, Cleo Burger and Racheal Lindsay.

Funeral service will be held at the Cherry Valley United Baptist Church, 1500 Parkamo Avenue, on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Clophas Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Memorial Park and Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
