Jose Carlos Chavez Bailon

Jose Carlos Chavez Bailon, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was born in Pisco, Ica, Peru on May 8, 1940 to Salomon Chavez Franco and Alejandrina Bailon de Chavez.

Jose is survived by his wife, Angelica Aguilar De Chavez; six children, Carlos Chavez, Cesar Chavez, Rafael Chavez, Jose Chavez, Janett Costas and Jorge Chavez; eleven grandchildren, Kevin, Erick, Samir, Adam, Daisy, Jamilett, Leslie, Christopher, Rafael Jr., Nicholas Jr. and Anthony; and seven great grandchildren. Jose was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St., Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 9:30 AM with Fr. Michael Pucke, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
