Joseph Wayne Bennett

Joseph Wayne Bennett, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Joe was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky on November 9, 1946 to Joseph Buford Bennett and Ina (nee Meece) Cox. He was a retired mechanic from Lakota School District. Throughout Joe’s life, he farmed, which was his lifelong passion.

Joe is survived by his sons, Jody (Theresa) Bennett and Andy (Angie) Bennett; his grandchildren, Clayton, Oliver, Savannah, Autumn, A.J., Airic, Dakota, Dayna, Delaney and Dawson; his sister, Emilie Suffridge; and many family members and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Nick Bennett; his beloved companion and best friend, Janet Shea; and his siblings, Eldridge Jasper, Shirley Pryor, Jack Bennett and Ronnie Bennett.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, 45013. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton.
