Joseph H. Burdette

Joseph H. Burdette, age 74 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 12:07PM. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on April 28, 1941 to Howard and Gertrude (Robertson) Burdette. Joseph was employed at General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1990. He was an avid racer; loved watching and participating in racing, especially at the dirt track at Lawrenceburg Speedway. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. On August 27, 1981, he married Linda Richardson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Burdette; his children, Joseph Burdette Jr., Tom Burdette, Tim (Tyra) Burdette, Paula Burdette-Franke, Robbie Burdette, Pam (Jim) Sumpter, Debbie (Jeff) McDonald; step children, Lisa Richardson, Joey Richardson, Jennie (Randy) Saylor; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and two very special cousins, John and Pat Vickers. He was preceded in death by parents; and two step sons, Robert Richardson and Ricky Richardson.

Memorial service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 6PM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5PM-6PM at the funeral home.
