Joseph William Hilz, Jr.

Joseph William Hilz, Jr., age 74, of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born to Joseph William Hilz, Sr. and Virginia Belle Hilz in Hamilton, Ohio. He was a member of the United States Navy, retired. His parents preceded him in death along with his brothers, Gregory and Michael and sisters, Carol and Jane. He is survived by his siblings, Penny (Miles) Back, Linda (Jeff) Owen, Richard (Bonnie) Hilz, Beth (Schuyler) Smith, Ginger Hilz, Paula (Brian) Speakman and Kathy (Phil) Kramer and many nieces and nephews. Private services with burial at St. Stephen's Catholic Cemetery will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at the Dayton VA Hospital, both Kennedy Way and Hospice, for their utmost and sincere care and compassion they showed Joe. Each and every one of his caregivers and staff touched his life in a special way up to the day he passed.
