Joseph A. McDaniel, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020. Joseph was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 10, 1936 to the late Albert and Katharena (Hasemeier) McDaniel. Joseph was a telegraph operator for the B & O, Chessie System and CSX Railroads. He enjoyed photography and was a model train enthusiast.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Melba (Steelman) McDaniel; his daughters, Jennifer (Wayne) Wells and Jill (David) Evans; his grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Trevor, Brian, Brooke, Daniel and Sarah; 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his son, John Joseph McDaniel.
Joseph’s family would like to express their gratitude to his nurse Amy and the team of compassionate caregivers at Hospice of Cincinnati.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the time of his Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio.
Donations in Joseph’s honor may be gifted to Hospice of Cincinnati .
