Josephine M. Corso, age 100 formerly of Hamilton, passed away in Hillcrest Nursing Center, Round Lake Beach, Illinois on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 7:40AM. She was born in Little York, Ohio on October 10, 1910, the daughter of Charles and Della (Herr) DiBlasi. While in Hamilton, she was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. On November 6, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio, she was married to Anthony P. Corso and he preceded her in death in 1988.
She is survived by one daughter, Margo (Larry) Jesse of Antioch, Illinois; four grandchildren, Neil G. Hardebeck of Hamilton, Dr. Richard Whitaker of Athens, Georgia, Annie Mech of Gurnee, Illinois and Nancy Feicht of Middletown, also eight great-grandchildren, thirty-four great-great grandchildren and twelve great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dolores Hardebeck in 2002; two brothers, William and Charles DiBlasi; one grandson, Ronnie Whitaker and one great-grandchild, Stacey Jesse.
Prayers will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2:30PM with Father Stephen Mondiek, Pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30PM to 2:30PM.
