Josephine B. Garrett, age 91 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 6:05 PM. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 8, 1918 the daughter of George and Minnie (Campbell) Brown. Josephine was a member of the Lockland Church of Christ. On May 1, 1937 in Cincinnati she married Argle Austin Garrett who preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by her son, Jerry (Darlene) Garrett of Hamilton; one brother, Loyal (Anna May) Brown of Cincinnati; three sisters, Ollowene Huff of Cincinnati, Thelma Luttrell of Mason, and Betty Thomas of Hamilton; three step grandchildren, Richard A. (Tricia) Anglin, Tiffani Anglin, and David (Jamie) Anglin; and four step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother George Brown Jr., and one sister Anna Marie Osterkamp.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday October 13, 2009 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
