Joshua L. Spivey

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Joshua Leck Spivey, age 33. He was born December 19,1991 in Hamilton, Ohio to Greg "Doodle" Spivey and Sheila Trent Stevens. He went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2025.

Josh is survived by his parents Greg "Doodle" Spivey(Toni) and Sheila Trent Stevens (Allen); siblings, Brittany Spivey and Jason Spivey (Meghan); nephews Brody Davidson, Elias Cope, and Rhiot Spivey; grandmother, Becky Trent; his girlfriend Toni Baker and her kids, Corbyn and Cruz Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Josh is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leck Trent; paternal grandparents, Charles and Louise Spivey; and his uncle’s, Scott Trent and George Spivey.

Josh, aka Barefoot, loved his family, had the biggest heart, and was a generous soul. He was a captivating storyteller. Josh was a jack of all trades and often could be found creating or fixing various things. He loved the derby, music, and surrounding himself with friends. He loved all kids and they loved him. Josh had an infectious personality that you couldn't help but love.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Wilma Jackson officiating. Josh will be laid to rest at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
