Josie E. Whitaker

Josie E. Whitaker, age 78 of Hamilton passed away at Butler County Care Facility on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 8:15 PM. She was born in Monticello, Kentucky on October 28, 1931 the daughter of Pola and Julie (Harris) Rednour. In 1948 in Hamilton she married William "Bill" Whitaker, and he preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by three children, Charlotte Jean Thomas, Robert (Candy) Whitaker, both of Hamilton, and Ronald (Linda) Whitaker of Oxford; three brothers, Danny Rednour of Indiana, Gary (Gloria) Rednour of Fairfield, and Jim (Jeanette) Rednour of Hamilton; four sisters, Margie Carter, Pauline (Gary) Baumgardner, both of Middletown, Norma (Jerry) Nafe, and Katie (Donnie) Leptak, both of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Jaime, Jo Ellen, Brandon, Ronald Lee, and Timothy; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Opal Blanton; and son-in-law, Glenn Thomas.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Harold Thompson of Stahlheber Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
