Joy Lavon Croucher

Joy Lavon Croucher was born at home at 776 Williams Avenue on October 8, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio; the daughter of Alphonse and Melvira Mae (Spaulding) Miller. She married Clyde Croucher October 18, 1947, at First Church of God, and they had 66 years together.

She is survived by two children, Alphonse Clyde (Margaret) Croucher and Darlene Lavon Curtner; six grandchildren, Denise Beth (Jon) Varelmann, Julie Lynn (Chad) Ricks, Lori Renee Weaver (Phil) Couch, Rodney Todd Schooley, Kelli Jo (Sean) Timon and Sarah Nicole Schooley; 14 great grandchildren, William Louis Varelmann, Sophia Elizabeth Varelmann, Noelle Nessiah Ricks, Chad Stephen Ricks, Joshua Paul Ricks, Evelyn Marie Weaver, Conner Mason Couch, Vivian Rose Couch, Valerie Jean Couch, Savannah Nicole Schooley, Bradley Todd Schooley, Abigail Schooley, Ashlee Marie Timon, Mckenzie Shauna Timon, and also a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Burdsall A. Miller and Carl S. Miller and her husband, Clyde Croucher.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Herman Croucher officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
