Joy Darlene Smith

Joy Darlene Smith, age 73 of Hamilton, passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 6:44AM. She was born in Hamilton on April 30, 1941. Joy was employed at Eaveys Supermarket for over 12 years. She loved cooking and baking, and also loved antiques and living in her farmhouse on the family farm.

She is survived by her children, James Smith, Timothy Smith, Kimberly (Steve) Shannon, and Douglas Smith; seven grandchildren, Melissa Shannon, Ashley Shannon, Allison Smith, Ryan Smith, Brittany Smith, Mollie (John) Partin, and Mindy Smith; two great grandchildren, John and Dylan Partin; and an awesome and loving caregiver Debbie Lunsford. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:30AM with Pastor Mark Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home.
