Joyce D. Glenn, age 67 of Hamilton passed away at Heritage House of Greensburg on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 7:02 PM. she was born in Hamilton on October 21, 1941 the daughter of William Taylor and Edna (Smith) Ponder. Joyce was employed as a bookkeeper for Butler County Community Action Center and was a member of Church of God. On April 23, 1966 in Jellico, Tennessee she married Noel A. Glenn, and he preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by two sons, Dwayne A. (Susan) Glenn of Kingston, Massachusetts and Kevin (Tami) Glenn of Hamilton; a daughter, Kelli Larrimore of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Eric (Katrina) Glenn, Alex, Danny, David (Mindy) Sparks, Daniel, Kevin and Kaci, whom Joyce raised as her own; two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Sarah; a sister, Sue Brown Henderson of Greensburg, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Dean Ponder; and five sisters, Dorothy, Marjorie, Gwen, Shirlia, and Patty.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Vernon Williams of Glory Road Worship Center officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Glory Road Worship Center for all their loving care and support.
