Joyce Ann Smith

Joyce Ann (Stewart) Smith, age 76, of Trenton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017.

Joyce was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 2nd, 1940 to Jack and Edith Stewart. She is survived by her loving husband Gary, whom she married on September 19, 1959. They were blessed with 4 children, Sharon (Eric) Brazelton, David (Adriana) Smith and Judy (Brian) Adams. Joyce is the grandmother of Kari (Ryan) Petrie, Nathaniel Eicher, Justin (Natalie) Eicher, Kelly Lane, Kirk Lane, Mallorie Adams and Wyatt Smith. Joyce is the great grandmother of Landon and Hadley Petrie. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Joyce is survived by sisters, Karen Dull, Pam (Chuck) Hembree and Eva (Bill) McMillan, and several nieces and nephews. Sadly, she is preceded in death by daughter Marcia, her parents Jack and Edith Stewart, brother Jack Stewart and brother-in-law Keith Dull.

She worked in the bakery at Krogers as a baker and cake decorator, and was well known amongst family and friends for her baking. Joyce was a member of Miltonville Baptist Church for 28 years.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Middletown for their compassionate care during Joyce's long and painful journey. We owe our sincere, heartfelt gratitude to her nurse, Sara, and her caregivers Patricia, Heather, Victoria, Janet, Kirsten and Julia.

Funeral service will be held at Miltonville Baptist Church, 4475 Elk Creek Road, Middletown, Ohio on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Burial will at Miltonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Miltonville Baptist Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Miltonville Baptist Church - Missionary Fund.
