Juanita Copley

Juanita Copley, age 83 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 12:13 PM. She was born in Krupp, Kentucky on March 8, 1925 the daughter of Andy and Martha (Prewitt) Richmond. Juanita was employed as an assistant administrator at Glenward Healthcare, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Princeton Pike Church of God. On April 22, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland she married Ernest Copley, and he preceded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Franklin) Lemons of Cleveland, Tennessee and Barbara (Michael) Hopkins of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Steven (Chrissie) Hopkins of Atlanta, Georgia, Timothy (Teresa) Hopkins of New Market, Maryland, Ryan Hopkins of Mason, and Tara Whitworth of Cleveland, Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren, Britney, Alex, Jacob, Joel, and Jared Hopkins, and Peyton and Caroline Whitworth; five brothers, Leoin (Ruth) Richmond of Baltimore, Maryland, Andrew (Linda) Richmond of Hamilton, Bill (Pat) Richmond of Chesapeake, Virginia, Earl (Elwanda) Richmond of Commerce, Georgia, and Jack (Betty) Richmond of LaSalle, Michigan; a sister, Agnes Bryant of Hamilton; four sisters-in-law, Geneva Richmond, Edith Smith, Georgetta Copley, and Frances Copley; a brother-in-law, Albert Simpson; many nieces and nephews; and Audrie Moore, who was as close as a daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Simon, Floyd, and James Richmond.

Funeral service will be held at the Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton-Glendale Road, on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Barry Clardy, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Community Ministry Center at Princeton Pike Church of God.
