Juanita C. Music

Juanita C. Music, age 74 of Hamilton passed away at the Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 5:23 PM. She was born in Kings Mountain, Kentucky on October 24, 1932 the daughter of John Williamson and Ethel (Allen) Carey. Juanita graduated from Hanover High School in 1950 and was employed as a secretary for Fairfield City Schools. She was an active member of the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene and Women’s Connecting. On June 20, 1952 in Oxford, Ohio she married Robert Lee Music.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Anne (Mathew) Withrow of Hamilton; a son, John Gregory Music of Bangor, Maine; a brother, Dr. John Gerald (Cherry) Carey of Merritt Island, Florida; five grandchildren, Amara (Peter) Van Amburg of New Hampshire, Katherine Music, Benjamin Music, both of Maine, Jennifer (Britt) Cox, and Mathew Jr. (Lily) Withrow, both of Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Natalie, Ashley, and Elijah; brother-in-law, William (Sarah Howe) Music of West LaFayette, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Helen Music (Orval) Overholt of Fortuna, California and Betty Music (Leroy) Updike of Brookville, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Robert Lee Music in March, 1992.

Funeral Service will be held at the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene, 1425 Nilles Road, on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Danny K. McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Darrtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, June 21, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
