Judith A. Menchen

Judith A. Menchen, age 71 of Fairfield passed away in Hospice of Cincinnati at Blue Ash on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10:30 PM. She was born in Hamilton on September 7, 1939 the daughter of Robert P. and Katherine (Kallinger) Tatman. Judy was employed as a secretary for Butler County Adult Probation for the Court of Common Pleas for fifteen years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and on June 7, 1958 in Hamilton she was married to George Menchen.

She is survived by her husband, George Menchen of Fairfield; two sons, George (Robin) Menchen of Denver, Colorado and Michael (Julie) Menchen of Winchester, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Heather, Megan, Evan, and Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Road, on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp, Celebrant. Cremation will be held. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The World Wildlife Fund. A memorial gathering will be held at Symmes Tavern on the Green immediately following the Funeral Mass.
