Judy Lynn Childs

Judy Lynn Childs, age 70 of Elon, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Judy was born in Middletown, Ohio on August 6, 1947 to Curtis Leroy "Bud" and Virginia Lee (nee Cole) Blossom. Judy taught in the Middletown City School District for 35 years. In Middletown, on December 8, 2001, she married Dennis Childs. Judy had a passion for teaching and loved children.

Judy is survived by her husband of 16 years, Dennis Childs; her son, Michael (Melissa) Huddleson; her step children, Dustin (Ruby) Childs, Kimberly (John David) Pirtle, and Erin (Kevin) Crouch; her grandchildren, Darien and Draven Huddleson, Alex, Abby, and Benjamin Childs, Caspian and Hawkeye Pirtle, and Jack Crouch; her sister, Carole (David) Milton; her nieces, Heather (Pete) Casey and Allison (fiancé Matt Adamson) Milton. Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Doctor Ed Bonniwell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
