Julia Lagedrost Parsons

Julia Lagedrost Parsons, age 82, of Williamsdale, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio April 17, 1926 the daughter of John and Mary (Ernest) Lagedrost. Julia was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. She volunteered to sit with terminally ill patients at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. Julia enjoyed fishing especially with her husband John Parsons.

She is survived by her children, Willita Mae (Paul) Maupin, William (Donna) Uhl Jr., Charles (Carol) Uhl, Mary (Paul) Woods, Timothy (Marlene) Uhl, David Uhl, Thomas Uhl, Theresa Miller, Elizabeth Uhl-Statzer, and Lorie (Mark) Back; six Parsons step-children; 24 grandchildren, six Parson step-grandchildren; 42 ½ great-grandchildren and six Parson step-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband William Uhl in 2001 and her second husband John Parsons in 1991; and son, Kenneth Uhl in 1963.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 7:30PM. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:30PM to 7:30PM. Cremation will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
