Julia Faye Swihart

Julia Faye Swihart, age 69, of Fairfield passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at her home. She was born in Hamilton on January 21, 1938 the daughter of Daniel and Pearl (Isaacs) Horn. A homemaker, Faye was a member of Trinity Family Fellowship. On December 21, 1960 in Liberty, Indiana she married John M. Swihart who passed away on October 31, 2005.

She is survived by her four daughters, Tonya (Bryan) Best of Hamilton, Jennifer (Jeff)Cox of Hamilton, Dawn Swihart of Fairfield, and Crystal (Jose) Mata of Richmond, Virginia; eight grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Trey, Chelsea, Derrick, Austin, Sydney, Kyra, Kyler, and Kylan; four brothers, Harst Horn of Hamilton, Bobby (Brenda) Horn of Cincinnati, Delmer (Ruthie) Whitesell of Hamilton, and Elmer (Alma) Whitesell of McKee, Kentucky; four sisters, Francis (Steve) Smith of Manchester, Kentucky, Elizabeth (Earl) McIntosh of Fairfield, Donna (Jimmy) Hensley of Indiana, and Linda (Bobby) Howdon of Somerset, Indiana; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; twin sons, Daniel and Ralph Shockey;a grandson, John Stevenson Best; and two brothers, Dillard Horn and Richard Lee Horn.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Family Fellowship, 3600 Millikin Road, on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Valerie Trissell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Valerie Trissell and to the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and concern.
