June Elizabeth Lakes

June Elizabeth Lakes, age 93 of Hamilton passed away in Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 2:45 AM. She was born in Livingston, Kentucky on August 20, 1917 the daughter of Charlie and Delia (Pennington) Clark. June was a member of the Fellowship Christian Center. On March 7, 1936 in Livingston, Kentucky she was married to Burnam Lakes, and he preceded her in death in 2010.

She is survived by one son, Ken (Judie) Lakes of Fairfield; three daughters, Dolores (Bea) Campbell of Middletown, Elaine (Rev. Bob) Croucher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Sherry Lakes of Hamilton; two sisters, Gerry Gabbard of Hamilton and Lucille Wilson of New Port Richey, Florida; seven grandchildren, Kim (Chad) Barrett, Gary, Jeff and Tracy Campbell, Lynette Elizabeth (Tyler) McKee, and Teddy and Brandon McCreadie; and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Spencer, Sarah, and Tracy; and also two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William "Bill" Clark, Edward Clark, and Russell Clark; and one sister, Ruth Sowder.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bob Croucher and Rev. Paul Marcum officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Hamilton.
