Karen Platt

Karen Platt, age 52 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 12:38 PM. She was born in Cincinnati on February 28, 1957 the daughter of John and Virginia (Tillett) Platt.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Gilbert; a son, Sam (Kelli) Platt of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Makayla, Samira, and Samuel; three brothers, John Platt, Jim Platt, and Mike Platt; five sisters, Sharon Platt, Kathy Platt, Janie Wright, Debbie McCracken, and Carol Harris; special niece and nephews including Carmen Harris, Adrian Platt, and Dion Platt; her grandmother, Billie Morris; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; devoted companion, Samuel Richardson; and two nephews, Cedric Moses and John John Platt.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Deacon John Broadus officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
