Kate Rae Emmert Wespiser

Kate Rae Emmert Wespiser, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026. In her many years, Kate touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy that continues to inspire. From the thousands of students she taught to the many organizations she supported, her love of the arts and genuine kindness made everyone she met feel special and valued.

Kate greatly missed her husband of 66 years, Joe, daughter, Melissa and son-in-law Holt. She loved spending time with her daughters Melinda and Marcia, their husbands, Jim and Mike, three granddaughters and grandson, and five great-granddaughters. To have known Kate was a blessing, and to have been loved by her was a gift beyond measure.

An independent spirit and a true firecracker until the end, Kate was cracking jokes, talking collegiate sports and encouraging her family to achieve their dreams. She will forever be cheering on all of the Miami University teams, the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, and all the sports she loved.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Kate will be held on June 27, 2026 at 11a.m. at the Knolls of Oxford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kate R. Wespiser Endowment Fund at the Oxford Presbyterian Church, 101 N. Main Street, Oxford, Ohio 45056.
