Kathleen Johnson

Kathleen "Kate" Johnson, passed away December 20, 2011. She was born to Charles Lee and Anna (Schmitz) Burcham June 19, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband Jake Johnson; three brothers, June Burcham, Gordon Burcham and Walter Lewis Burcham; sister, Helen Lowery; daughter, Carol Rouse; and granddaughter, Cathy Jo. She is survived by her son David Sandlin; daughter, Mary (Doug) Horn and Jodi Johnson; grandsons, David Sandlin, Joey Rhodes, Doug Johnson and Ross Eckler; granddaughters, Elizabeth Browning and Tara McKnight; great grandchildren, granny’s little Christian and Hayden Browning, Kristen McKnight, Shawn Alcorn, Mary Sandlin; sister in law, Mattie Bell Johnson; two very special friends she was blessed with, Mattie Andrews and Lucile Rawlins; and the Frazier family. She worked at Mercy Hospital North for 20 years and then private duty for 15 years. She was a member if the Ninth Street United Methodist Church for 40 years.

Visitation will be 12noon until time of service (1pm), Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park with Pastor Larry Davis officiating. Thank you to Dr. Richard Chamberlin and Hospice of Dayton for Kate’s time at home.
