Kathryn L. Furlow

Kathryn L. Furlow, age 70 of Pleasant Plain passed away at her residence on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. She was born in Hamilton on March 1, 1940 the daughter of Dewey L. and Sophia (Brockman) Parker. Kathryn was a veteran of the U. S. Navy from 1959 to 1960 and was employed as a food and beverage manager at Bally’s Casino in Tunica, Mississippi for ten years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Fairfield Eagles and American Legion in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

She is survived by four children, Tami Cash Furlow of Punta Gorda, Florida, Ginny Furlow (Randal) Blankenship of Knoxville, Tennessee, Debbie Furlow of Starkville, Mississippi, and Reece (Regina) Furlow of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; a sister, Virginia L. Koch of Wapakoneta, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jeremy Yantes, Jesse Shows, Matthew Nix, Andrew Nix and Adam Furlow; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey L. Parker and Sophia Donathan; and a son, Donald Furlow.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
