Kathy Lynn Smith

Kathy Lynn Smith “Our Sunshine”, age 64 of Hamilton, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, her faith became sight. Kathy was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 17, 1960 to Carl and Elizabeth Campbell. On September 16, 1978, she married the love of her life, Ronald Edward Smith. On October 25, 1980 she became a mother. At the age of 20, the Lord saved Kathy thus permanently changing her life and eternity. Her faith continues to this day to impact the lives of those she loves. On October 6, 2003 began the most precious time of her life when she became a mamaw. Her greatest joy was being able to serve the Lord as a member at Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio. Kathy retired in November of 2021 from The Butler County Care Facility where she was the social work director for many years.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald E. Smith; her children, Ronald (Ellen) Smith, April Smith and Ashley Lynn (Chuckie) Reece; her grandchildren, Juastess, Jaleah, Patience, Junior, Alex, Chase, Mallory, Lyla and Hunter; her siblings, Penny (Bob) Downard, Carla Melloy, David Campbell, Vicki (William) Proctor, Sally Webster, Regina Asbury and Shane Campbell; and countless other family and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elizabeth Campbell; and her siblings, Roberta Campbell, Becky Parker, Nancy Morris and Frankie Campbell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will be held at Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ron Pittman officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.
