Kenneth E. Allspach

January 11, 1922 — November 16, 2007

Kenneth E. Allspach, age 85 of Wayne Township passed away at Middletown Regional Hospital on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 2:47 PM. He was born in Butler County on January 11, 1922 the son of Ernst and Emma Mae (Bucheit) Allspach. Kenneth was a veteran of World War II with the United States Army from 1944 to 1946, where he participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was employed as a farmer, former employee of Wayne Township road maintenance, and retired from the maintenance department at Miami University in1992 after twelve years of service. Kenneth was a member of the Jacksonburg United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling with the Oxford Seniors, hunting for Native American artifacts, fishing, carpentry, woodcutting, and he always kept the fire going. On April 17, 1975 in Hamilton he married Morgan Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Morgan Allspach; six children, Connie Lindsay, Mary Jane Million, Sue Ann (Hanif) Mussani, John William Allspach, Chris Allspach, and Andra (Curt) Edwards; ten grandchildren, Michelle, Cheryl (Mike), Shonda, Rachel, Tariq (Neelam), Arif (Abeda), Christopher, Helen, Riley, and Tali; three great-grandchildren, Devin, Jamie, and Kaytlyn; former spouse and friend, Ruth E. Cooley; aunt, Louise Richter; uncle, Walter Allspach; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Alan J. Ahmadi; and sons-in-law, Jim Lindsay and David Million.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Doug Morgan of Nilles Pointe Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
