Kenneth R. Johnson

Kenneth R. Johnson, age 80 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Kenneth was born in London, Kentucky on March 19, 1943 to William Johnson and Maxie (Turner) Johnson. After graduating High School, he went on to join the United States Army where he received numerous awards, including Expert Rifleman, Marksman, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Kenneth was a Kentucky Colonel, member of the AMVETS, the VFW and the Monkeys. He loved Kentucky Basketball, the ocean, playing cards and fishing.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Johnson; his best friend and son, Jody Johnson; beloved grandchildren, Ashtin (Greg) Fairbanks and Austin Johnson; siblings, Ethel Bailey, John Johnson, Denver (Marlene) Johnson, Edward Johnson, Dillard (Becky) Johnson, Linda (Michael) Philpot and Judy (Chris) Kladis; and numerous other relatives and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Robert Johnson, James Johnson and Roy Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October  2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM with Gary Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to a Veterans Organization of your choice.
