Kenneth "Kenny" M. Sapp, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was born in Hamilton on July 14, 1927 the son of John and Clyde (Eads) Sapp. On July 4, 1953 in Hamilton he married Velma Sandlin and she preceded him in death in 2001. Kenny was veteran of United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by General Electric for twenty-five years and also a greeter at Walmart for eleven years.
He is survived by one son, Ralph Sapp of Hamilton; one grandson, Ryan Sapp of Hamilton; four siblings, Mary Jane Davis of Fairfield, Marty Brown of Hamilton, Lois Jean Smith of Seven Mile, and Merle (Barbara) Sapp of Denver, Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Violet Clark, Velma Muncie, Ruth Gleason, Roy Sapp, Ralph Sapp, Robert Sapp, and Jack Sapp.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM with his brother, Rev. Merle Sapp officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
