Kenneth R. Whicker

Kenneth R. Whicker, age 64 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Friday November 7, 2008. He was born in Richmond, Kentucky on May 22, 1944 the son of Benjamin Franklin and Agnes Whicker. Kenneth was a veteran of the U S Army. He was employed at Champion Paper for 35 years retiring in 2003. Kenneth was a member of Miltonville Baptist Church and an avid fisherman. On August 31, 1965 in Richmond, Kentucky he married Vivian Stamper.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Whicker of Hamilton; daughters, Melodie (Greg) Frazier, Mary (Lamar) Upshaw, and Becky (Brandon) Root all of Hamilton; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Gottschalk of Clarkston, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Franklin Whicker and his mother, Agnes (Fulks) Rundell.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Eric Brazelton of Miltonville Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Coounty Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 noon to 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Baptist Mission.
