Larry W. Lunsford, Sr.

Larry W. Lunsford, Sr., age 60 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 5:37 AM. He was born in Hamilton on July 10, 1947 the son of Orville and Reva (Evans) Lunsford. Larry was the owner and operator of Riverside Grocery and Miami Auto Sales for 35 years, retiring in 1997. He was a Special Deputy for the Butler County Sheriff Department and a member of their Mounted Patrol.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Lunsford of Hamilton, two daughters, Melinda Sue (Christopher) Pottorf of Trenton and Melissa Taylor of Middletown; son, Larry W. Lunsford, Jr. of Hamilton; cherished granddaughter, Codi Sue Lunsford; three grandsons, Justin Pottorf, John Taylor, and Robert Taylor; father and step-mother, Orville and Madge Lunsford of Hamilton; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Reva Lunsford; son, Larry Lunsford I; and brother Donnie Lunsford.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dale French of Eaton Road Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
