Laura Rae Cheek

Laura Rae Cheek, age 38 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017. Laura was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 25, 1979 to Billy and Connie (Conrad) Maricle. Laura graduated from Talawanda High School Class of ’97. She graduated Miami University with an Associate’s Degree in Business. On September 11, 1999, she married the love of her life, Kevin Cheek; from that day on, they were inseparable. Laura worked in the title industry for over 10 years, then worked under Jack Rupp at Ashford Homes for the past few years. You could always find Laura with her nose in a ‘digital’ book, reading romantic novels. She enjoyed going on cruises, and vacationing. Laura knew no strangers and was always up for an adventure. She was an avid Bengals and Reds fan, and loved watching sports.

Laura is survived by her husband of 17 years, Kevin Cheek; her parents, Billy and Connie Maricle; her sister, Lisa (Dustin) Jordon; her fur-baby, Boomer; her mother-in-law, Judith Cheek; her best friend, Chaundre Allen; and many other loving family members and close friends. Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Shirley and Bob Conrad, and William Maricle.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Elder Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
