Lavern Wolpert

LaVern C. Wolpert, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away at Glen Meadows Nursing Home on Friday, December 26, 2014. She was born in Hamilton on June 14, 1926 to Harry and Marie (Brickner) Drury. On June 18, 1949, she married Charles Wolpert, and together they enjoyed 52 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. She was employed with Bell Telephone, Ohio Casualty and Elder Beerman for a number of years. She was also a member of the American Legion and Amvets Ladies Auxillary.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Mary Jo) Wolpert , Gregory Wolpert and John (Victoria) Wolpert; grandchildren Jeffrey, Brian, Jared, Justin and Matthew; great grandchildren Elijah, Jazeera, Zoe, Josephine, Harper, Decker and Caroline; one sister Dolores Schwartz and two brothers Adrian Drury and Robert Drury and one sister in law Claire Huesing; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceeded in death by her parents, husband Charles and daughter Diane.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11 AM with Fr. Patrick McMullen officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 10-11 AM at the church.
