Lela V. Miller

Lela V. Miller, age 82 of Wichita, Kansas, passed away in Birchwood Care Center, on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 1:15AM. She was born in Ness County, Kansas on July 15 1925, the daughter of Perl and Emma (Koester) Pember. Lela was employed in sales for Stanley Home Products for forty years retiring in 1998. On June 15, 1945, in Pasadena, California, she was married to James "Vic" Miller and he preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by two sons; Van (Patricia) Miller of Hamilton and Gary (Debbie) Miller of Baldwin, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sheryl Miller in 1994; one brother, Lavern Pember and three sisters; Geneva Stamp, Verda McCoy and Gertrude Elliott.

A graveside service will be held in the Sterling Community Cemetery, Sterling, Kansas on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2 PM. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to the donors choice.
