Leland Earl Wombles

Leland Earl Wombles, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Majestic Care of Middletown on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Earl was born in Corbin, Kentucky on June 12, 1934 to Delmar Wombles and Bertha (Smallwood) Wombles.  Earl was an Assistant Pastor at Browns Chapel in Hamilton for 20 years, and Pastor for 17 years.  He was a member of Browns Chapel since 1958.  On July 7, 1956 in Aurora, IN, he married Martha House, and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2008.

Earl is survived by his two children, David Wombles and Diane (Edward) Sanders; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jo, Erica, Eddie, Chad, Brad, Brandi, and Brandon; 16 great grandchildren; and one sister, Cora Meyers. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Bertha Wombles; his spouse, Martha Wombles; and three sisters and one brother.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jim House officiating.  Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kandie and Cindy Fields, his niece.
